Robin Gordon

Ms. Gordon, a Certified Public Accountant is a Principal of Cato Gordon & Company. She has more than 25 years experience in providing a wide variety of business services to clients engaged in professional services, consulting, printing and publishing, retail and wholesale, transportation, telecommunication, satellite, real estate, construction and non-profits.

Robin was a Director in BPO (business process outsourcing) with KPMG LLP, a big four accounting firm before starting her own company.

Robin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and graduated from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.

Robin has authored many articles pertaining to the nonprofit industry which have been published in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE)'s Dollar & Cents and their monthly magazine, Association Management. Robin has also presented at a number of ASAE conferences. She is currently a member of the Northern Virginia Business Advisory Group which is dedicated to bringing value added resources to business owners in the Northern Virginia area.

Bob Cato

Mr. Cato, a Certified Public Accountant is a Principal of Cato Gordon & Company.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy and did graduate work at Stanford University in Economics and Operations Research, receiving a Master’s degree in each.  In 1992 he received a Master’s degree in Accounting from The American University, Washington, D.C. He became a Certified Public Accountant the same year.  He is currently licensed as a CPA in Virginia and Maryland.

Prior to starting his own company, Mr. Cato held senior accounting positions in industry ranging from closely held businesses to publicly held corporations.  He has extensive experience with cost accounting for government contracts as well as for the manufacturing and service sectors.

Mr. Cato has worked with small and medium sized businesses since 1993, providing professional accounting, consulting and tax services to a wide variety of firms.  He has developed an efficient data processing system that allows his firm to charge affordable prices for high quality, personal service.
